DeWolf Innovation Center hosts storytelling event

The Chris & Suzy DeWolf Family Innovation Center for Aging & Dementia will host A Storytelling Experience from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Thurs., Sept. 24, 2026, as part of the Cedar Rapids Storytelling Festival. This free community event will explore the power of storytelling to build connection, trust and a stronger sense of community.

The program features acclaimed storyteller Neshama Franklin, known for her rich folktales and personal narratives, and W. Jamie Ward, a lifelong Cedar Rapidian whose stories capture the spirit and history of the city. Together, they will offer an engaging afternoon of stories that span cultures, generations and lived experiences.

No registration is required, and all are welcome to attend.
